While Jeff and I may have known a lot of our brides and grooms for years before their weddings, we occasionally have a couple that we don’t get to meet until the wedding day. Even when we already know them, we don’t always know their story. It is helpful to try to learn as much as we can about the history of their relationships. It’s nice to have some idea of how long a couple has been together, what obstacles they might have overcome to make it to this big day, and what drew the two together in the beginning.
Our part of the story doesn’t usually begin until the wedding day, but what an honor it is to be the storyteller of that chapter, the moment the two finally become one. No matter what the story has been like up to this point, the wedding day is a very emotional time that is full of smiles, laughter, and even tears.
Stephanie and Alan’s wedding day was a beautiful and emotional time for both families. Family and friends came from all over the country to celebrate their marriage. While it was a joyous occasion, it was also bitter-sweet in that Alan’s military duties were pulling him in one direction while Stephanie’s parents were being relocated even further away. They are obviously a tightly-knit group that will remain close even with hundreds of miles separating them. We wish Stephanie and Alan all the best in this new chapter of their lives and hope that they will forever cherish the memories of that special day spent with their loved ones. ~ Julie
